MADISON, Wis. — Gov. Tony Evers today, at the request of local officials, authorized the Wisconsin National Guard to support local law enforcement in Kenosha County to help protect critical infrastructure and assist in maintaining public safety and the ability of individuals to peacefully protest.
MILWAUKEE — More than 1,400 Soldiers and Airmen from communities across Wisconsin made up a task force that provided support to civil authorities in communities across the state following civil unrest that took place in Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Racine, and Kenosha.
Citizen Soldiers and Airmen from the Wisconsin National Guard concluded missions to support public safety efforts in Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Racine, and Kenosha over the past several days.
CAMP DOUGLAS, Wis. — Nearly 40 Soldiers completed the final steps of their initial training and prepared themselves both officially and symbolically to join their unit as fully trained members of the Wisconsin Army National Guard, ready to serve state and nation.
